Our Director's Message

Prof. Dr. R. Gopal

Director & Head of Department

DY Patil University School of Management

Navi Mumbai

In 2018, Prof. Dr. Prajakta Mondkar and Dr. Sonia Justin spoke to me about the idea of starting an organization for doing social work and social engineering amongst our students. They mentioned about starting the Rotaract Club for this purpose.

At DYPUSM, one of our aims is to ensure the holistic development of the child and to that extent a lot of self-development programs are organized. I felt that this was a great opportunity for the students to understand themselves and through this, they could contribute to society by undertaking some social projects.

I am glad that the Rotaract Club took birth in our School of Management and I very much appreciate the contribution of the various Rotary members in nourishing this Rotaract Club. From extremely small numbers, today the club has grown to a level of 70 enthusiastic and dedicated students. My desire is that this should become a MOVEMENT in our School of Management where the students feel for the society and contribute so that there is considerable improvement in the self and then in the society. Every student of ours must be a successful student is a firm belief of mine and these clubs are the stepping stones for the success of our students.

The team led by President Rtr. Seemantini Shekdar and Secretary Rtr. Hrutika Chougule has carried out lot many projects especially those involved in self-development like Secrets of Survival, Shatranj or the Game of Chess, Ek Pal Yaadon Ke Sang etc. Some projects like World Autism Awareness Day, World Education Day –emphasizing the need for educating our masses and more important the girl child or the webinar on De-Addiction are worthy of mentioning.

It is indeed laudable that the members have done over 40 social projects in a short span of one year without sacrificing their academic pursuits—a very laudable and highly commendable act.

I would also like to welcome the new team of Rotaract Club managers who would be taking office in the new year 2021 – 2022 and would be happy if they could continue the good work done by the outgoing team management and take the activities of the Rotaract Club to greater heights.

God bless them and I wish them all success.

Our Faculty
Co-
Coordinator's Message

Rtn. Dr. Rupali Upaganlawar

Asst. Professor & Faculty Coordinator

DY Patil University School of Management

Warm regards to the entire Rotary and Rotaract family!!!!

It is a great honour for me to be the faculty coordinator of the very prestigious Rotaract club of DYPUSM. I really want to thank our Director Prof. Dr R. Gopal Sir, it is only because of his motivation, faith and constant support that we are existing today. I also want to thank members of our Parent Rotary for encouraging and understanding our students in every possible way.

Every passing year our club is becoming strong and mature.  We started with 20 members and now we are more than 70, from 7 projects a year to 70 projects, one can definitely think of our success graph by looking at these growing numbers. In these years not only have our students learnt about the ideals of humanitarian service but also being compassionate towards the one in need. DYPUSM has always believed in the holistic development of our students and Rotaract is one such platform that helps them for Personal Growth and Development.

Also, they get a chance to create networking and new friendships in both local and world communities. From the very first year, our students completed each project on their own with minimum guidance from the faculty coordinators, may it be the installation ceremony or any other project; our students have always shown enthusiasm and have completed every task sincerely. And I'm pretty sure they'll continue to do what they've done so far in future also. I wish them all the success today and always!!!
